In 2017, it will be 100 years since Marcel Duchamp turned the art world upside down by presenting a signed urinal as a work of art. You could argue that this was the start of the modern art movement, and also the start of all the fuss surrounding the style. In the 100 years following that urinal’s debut, modern art has gotten pretty complicated, leading us to ask: What is art, really?
Finding the answer to that question may be too complicated, even for De Modern Art Revue, but the show’s colourful collection of acts and songs is sure to prove just how rich, curious and remarkable the art world can be. This is a must-see for art lovers and philistines alike!
Alex Klaasen and Steef de Jong combined their strengths to perform an old-fashioned variety show on modern art.
